LONG LIVE MUQTADA AL-SADR!!!
This is what Saddams executioners chanted as he was dropped from the gallows. Nearly four years into the war. This is the man who we fight for:

He happens to be the leader of the Mahdi Army in Iraq. Guess what, the Mahdi army is shoot on sight in Iraq. Green flags. Go looking for some Iraq combat videos. Odds are you'll hear them mentioned.

The irony is deep.

5. It was shown clearly on Iraqi TV
As Saddam's reply "Go to hell". The Shiites are far right to Saddam's secular government that allowed moderation and women's rights.

You will note no women are shown in the streets of Iraq. The only woman shown in the public is on the U.S. Iraqi government T.V. She wears a dress and make-up. She is shuttled back and forth by heavy bodyguards. The Shiites are far right. Tehran was thrilled to hear about Saddams death so Al Sadr can take over.

That's really lovely. How nice of Bush to bring democracy to the poor, former oppressed people of Iraq. :sarcasm:

on edit: I forgot to add the sarcasm thingie. I don't want people jumping down my throat!! lol.

8. This administration is probably already planning his execution.
We need a new face for the War on Terror. I think he fits the bill nicely.

9. Does no one see the resemblance to the Ayatollah?
Or do a lot of people really want to re-enter the Dark Ages?

I think it's widespread hysterical phobia of human progress.

13. Evidence of how disastrous the situation has become.
They take Saddam from our hands to execute him and start shouting for an anti-American cleric.

What a telling moment.

Our leadership has proven they have no information, no plan and no idea. Who doubts the situation on the ground has disintegrated and become miasma of death and contradiction beyond repair.

Because of Bush's failures we have little choice left but to leave and face the consequences and recognize there is nobody to blame but the "Commander in Chief" himself.
