WHO CARES, says a mom whose son died in the war
http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/484593p-407907c.html

"It's a nonevent to me," said Haynes, 78, whose son, Schuyler, 40, was killed last month in Baquba, Iraq, by a roadside bomb. "It has no meaning. We went into a place that I don't believe we had any business going into."

Another grieving mother, Fizoon Ashraf, of Brooklyn, didn't even hear about the execution until yesterday afternoon.

Her son, Rasheed Sahib, 22, died in Iraq in 2003.

"I don't even care what's going on," said Ashraf. "I lost my son, and that's all I can concentrate on."

1. a non event. wow.
since i see it the execution for americans as simply a sales pitch -- that ''nonevent'' description just about nails it.

the car lot is decorated, flags and flyers everywhere -- the sales staff primed with the latest tony robbins rah-rah-rah -- the lot jam packed with used cars --

just waiting for the crowds to arrive at the appointed hour.

2. Grief has the power to make you not care. Everyone handles
loss differently. Cindy Sheehan decided to become active and work it out in the public eye. It has done wonders for the mothers, wifes, and children of this country to see her step forward and say no more.

3. The execution was a trophy for * and the media only
There will be a few other groups celebrating the event.
But it is one more dark spot placed on history by the bu$h regime
