I loved every minute of it. He was truly a great man and did completely change music forever. I'm going to watch it again. :)

I missed it yesterday, and I just saw your post Malaise, thank you. But I went over to BET's website and they are having a special on tonight at 9pm on James Brown. You can also watch the whole funeral on the website. Glad I caught your post. I heard his funeral was a real celebration of life. And what a life it was.

6. Belated semi-props to CNN.
It would have been nice to hear some advance promotion of this event--or maybe those announcements just got lost in the orgy of Ford Grief. Would've also been a nice touch if anchor Carol Lin could've grasped the term Homegoing.

Ah, but it was a lovely piece of coverage sans constant commercial interruptions and the band was BLAZING HOT.
