Russert had a pretty interesting show today....
Nothing mindblowing or hard hitting, but his guests all had interesting discussions. Much better than say listening to McCain or Lieberman or one of those clowns lie, pontificate and bullshit like they do pretty much every Sunday. Solid discussions today. I can live with that from time to time.

but WHERE is this "So-called" T-Shirt that says "Don't tell mama, I'm pro-Obama?!!! This started with Matthews, and continued TODAY with Russert? I'd like to know the source of this...

3. The uncomfortable, to me, part of this morning's offering was
the adulation heaped on Ford.
Our "long national nightmare" was not the investigation of tricky Dick but was the VietNam war.
To most of the ordinary, non political citizens, the story beginning with Agnew and continuing through Daniel Ellserg's psychiatrist's office break in and culminating with Nixon's comeuppance was interesting and convincing of the crookedness of those who seek high office. We wanted impeachment and conviction; the Ford pardon was a betrayal.

As a non political person, I actually liked Nixon and hated Johnson. Johnson did his level best to get my brother and me killed in another liar's war and I had a lot invested in Nixon, in error, as it turns out, due to his promises to end the war.

The current worshiping of Ford as "the last moderate president" just sickens me and makes the normal crap from the talking hairdos nearly unabidablle.

4. What was most interesting was Woodward's telling of
Haig's role in slipping a blank page to Ford to sign on which the pardon would be later typed. Haig was a manipulative bastard, wasn't he? And, as for Ford, he did a lot of winking and nodding and I don't think he was as benign as he is being portrayed. I think he was a pretty good conniver with an affable demeanor.

5. funny Haig is on FTN right now
acting like it was ludicrous that someone would even think Ford and Nixon would have made some sort of deal, haha. I love it when rats act offended that somebody would have the audacity to question their word. Like Al Haig isn't suspect on just about everything he has ever said. If Al Haig said the sky was blue I would have to think it actually might not be simply because that bullshit artist said it.

Yeah, tough to say how Ford was, he was an affable guy, appeared benign, but sure, you could be dead on. Probably likely that you are right. Look at Cheney, that guy has always had an even type demeanor, he looks sort of like a nice old grampa, but then he curls up that sneer and you see a truly sick side of the guy. But Cheney always had that moderate appearance in the pre-sneer years, yet he's been completely crazy-Right for a long time. Looks can be deceiving, without a doubt.
