U.S. Marine kills Iraqi soldier in fight

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A U.S. Marine killed an Iraqi soldier during what the U.S. military described on Tuesday as an "altercation" at a security post in Falluja.

A U.S. statement did not say what sparked the fight, which occurred on Saturday, or how the Iraqi soldier was killed. The Marine has been assigned to administrative duties, it said.

"An Iraqi soldier was fatally wounded during an altercation with a Marine at a post at the Falluja Government Centre," the statement said, adding that 300 U.S. Marines operate in Falluja alongside 700 Iraqi police and 3,000 Iraqi soldiers.

2. I sure as hell hope it wasn't a fight over Saddam's execution.

Soldiers fight, though. This was bound to happen sooner or later, I guess.

Fatally wounded with a gun? A knife?

4. i waiting for the report.....

a u s marine went berserk in bagdad today screaming 'bush is jesus!' as he shot 25 new born iraqi infants in cold blood during an 'altercation'. the marine was sent to the corner for 5 minutes as punishment.
