Some things never change
Edited on Thu Jan-04-07 12:10 AM by MoseyWalker
My older brother didn't get drafted for Vietnam, though he was in line for it. I was so lucky that I was younger. I can't get into people's heads and understand why they volunteer, but am sure there must be good (good meaning monetary) reasons.

I live for peace. In my personal life, and in my beliefs regarding how the world should be. I'm not ignorant. I know there are conflicts and people involved in them that have no problem with killing those who disagree, but I live in America. I haven't been, yet, woken up in the middle of the night while being forced to watch my sister being raped by the "enemy".

So the one who pardoned Nixon has died. After living 93 years.

My belief is if a pardon had not been given, then this country would not have had to deal with Reagan or any of the other fools who have led this country to near destruction in so many ways.

Peace.

No draft. No war. No compromise.
