Positive Reinforcement - (AKA We've Got Your Backs)

Well, we're officially back in the Congressional majority as of today, and we all have high hopes and/or expectations for this Congress. I don't know if it's humanly (or politically?) possible for the Democrats to enable all the legislation that needs to be enabled in this session, but I'm counting on them to make one helluva stab at it.

I only wanted to say one thing... I know I am quick to jump on my representatives when they do something I don't agree with, but I'm not always as quick to tell them when they do something I approve of. I guess I just figure they should know instinctively.

But they can't know; they aren't mind-readers. And just like the rest of us, they need both negative and positive feedback on their actions.

And more importantly, they need to know that we will stand with them when they step out and take a stand on those shaky limbs that the Republicans and MSM have been sawing through over the past few years.

So in this Congress, I'm resolving to take every opportunity to tell my representatives when they do something I disagree with, but I'm also going to make a special effort to encourage them when they do something I agree with. And I'm kicking myself for not having done so in the past. New beginnings for all of us, perhaps.
