McCain called the NYT a Communist Newspaper?
I just saw this article over on www.rawstory.com.

I used to kind of like McCain. But I sure don't any more. I guess my opinion of the man really went south went he started flipflopping on just about everything. But to say the NYT is a Communist Newspaper is just plain idiotic.

2. It 's an attempt at humor, but...
...a person would have to be very right-wing to find that funny.

3. When I worked in the Senate the rumor was that McCain was unstable.
Guess there might have been some truth to it. He has certainly shown himself to be someone willing to cave on his principles.

Peace,

freefall

4. All this recent pandering to the Religious Right - I don't have any use
for candidates that just plain pander to certain political groups.

8. He must be jockeying for funding from the Moonie Tunes
Edited on Thu Jan-04-07 09:59 AM by kevinbgoode
I continue to wonder why we don't see the mainstream press report much about their deep involvement in the Republican Party. From operating the Washington Times to making direct political contributions, to their ties with the Bush cabal and their encouragement of participation in the party, the Moonies are at least as involved as the crazed televangelista-operated evangenital movement.

I still remember, during the 2004 election campaign for delegates for the Kentucky convention, reports in the Louisville Journal of a fist fight between competing evangenital and Moonie candidates for delegates. . .

I'd like candidates like McCain to comment on their beliefs about the involvement of a cult which describes the leader as the second messiah and the self-proclaimed "monarch of America" being so influential in his party. Does McCain believe that Rev. Moon is the monarch? And the second coming of Christ?
