If he listened to the people, he might have made a lot fewer massive mistakes.

I fail to see any nobility or respectability in an executive of a democratic republic not caring what the people think or believe. The executive doesn't have to succumb to every whim of the people, but "not governing based upon polls" implies they don't matter. THE PEOPLE'S WILL IS SUPPOSED TO MATTER!

A. that was a surveillance program on al qaeda people bla blah blah. nothing new here, the signing statemtn jut says what present law allows.
