Kid's Site Taken Down Because of Saddam Video
The website http://www.dilby.com was taken down by its host GoDaddy because the owner linked, not hosted, the Saddam video. Kid also encountered the Saddam problem when he posted the beheadings in Iraq They later put his site back up and the link is gone.

Rumor, not an article.

1. yah
that video has gained infamy already, or whatnot. What an age we live in that such events can be so easily captured on such a tiny device as a cellphone and shown all around the world in a matter or days or hours.

3. yep i guess
Yes I guess. That's all i heard. The guy apparently has lost the domain several times for posting beheading videos. I've been to it on several occasions but I heard about it on a form again. :)

Should transfer the domain to a registrar other than Godaddy. He might want to dump Godaddy as a host too.

I just said kid, like a guy. I'm pretty sure he's a young guy. Maybe I should have said a man or something.

http://berrybusyblog.com/dilbycom-news-website-officially-for-sale

Writing by Admin on Thursday, 26 of October , 2006 at 8:47 am

Dilby.com is up for sale. Only $900 or best offer, or the fastest offer. The Dilby News Monitor is a news website that is being sold off to the first buyer; no questions asked. Dilby.com is responsible for a lot of news on the web, click here and here. The sale includes ownership of www.dilby.com the domain and you have hosting through GoDaddy already setup. You also get the domain www.foxknews.com included. Currently it is directed to go to Dilby.com but you can change it. Dilby.com has been honored by Microsoft and by PC Magazine as one of the Top 100 websites for 2005. You don’t have to worry about publicity because a little of it has already been done for you.

Whether it's still for sale or has been sold I can't say. $900 doesn't seem like much for a domain that "is responsible for a lot of news on the web" and "has been honored by Microsoft and by PC Magazine as one of the Top 100 websites for 2005".

16. Eh, the guys in it for the money.
Looks like he's comment-spamming all over the web to hype his sites so he can make some profits from Google ads and ultimately sell the dilby.com domain. Nothing really political here that I can see, other than some of the news content, but I think that's the means rather than the end.
