It will just prove that Dems can't deliver, even with overwhelming public opinion on their side--like the past six years.

1. Your beef is with the constitution.
The decision to increase troop levels belongs to the president, other than be against it, what can the dems do?

By the time Congress cut off VietNam funding there were almost no troops left in there...

3. Snow-job even admitted in today's presser
Bush will go forward even if Congress cuts funding. Anger at the Dems is pretty counter-productive at this stage.

4. Cut off funding.
Here is a question about the constitution, the Way to Do things Properly: Isn't congress the one that is supposed to declare war?

11. An interesting point I saw brought up once was the idea of withdrawing the IWR
I think that would provoke a Constitutional show-down though...probably much the same effect as investigating the legality in the first place. Still, an interesting idea.

10. naw, would have to get rid of them all.
Down to Pelosi. I know impeachment and removal from office is just a dream, but still. Now, what can they do? How about stop working, stop passing bills, stop working on bills, bring the gvt to a halt?

13. I want to see Dick & George behind bars, but practically speaking
I think the best we (as Dems) can do right now is to peel away republican Senators and Representatives. Looks to me like that's happening as they realize that '08 is going to be another electoral bloodbath for them. It's not nearly fast enough, but I just don't see anything else happening.
