HEY BUSH......I've got your surge right here! (dial-up warning)

Send in the clowns cause your surge is a joke

Who will be the last man to die for a lie.
If I could chose, I would chose who lied.....

But I'm just a soccer mom who never really cared about politics........... till you.

I went from suburban car pools... to thirty hour bus trips to see a fool.

I stood in front of the house you have occupied to tell you to stop the killing,
all those graves you are filling.

Then you've come to my town on your million dollar photo ops.
All expensive stupid flops.

I have screamed at your massive limos on parade and your deafening chopper brigade.

Do you hear me? I'm one of millions and billions world wide.

Will I make a difference?
I alone you won't hear. But I have friends I know really care and do try.
We all want it to stop, the killing, the lies.
...

With alarming urgency, this man, my friend, speaks out cause it's right.
His love for this country is his only fight.

He's been talking to you, Bush, for years now it seems, and he's asking for all my friends to work as a team.
Can we stop this madness, or is it in vane. Can we squash the surge, or are you just insane.

My friend is insistent, time is running out. We don't have two years to bring change about.
We must act now and do what we can. Will you lend this soccer mom and her friend a hand?

Will you join me again, we have to try............ before the next soldier dies.

3. Here is the music for your post...
"I've got your surge right here!" reminded me of a song "buzz factor",
"buzz" in the sense of "marketing buzz",
reading your post I had this song in my head,
the lyrics are:

"I've got your buzz right here,
have no fear.
I've got all the hype
to make it alright."

The song is about the music business,
but it seems to fit your post...

You can download/listen to the song here,
track 7 on the album "Fourth Person"

That is her website - Sarah Sharp.

5. Incredible the change he's had in my life too.
I knew it the day he was selected that everything changed.
Pre-war discussion with my husband on how my kids would
never serve under this blood for oil thief- his reply...
"Sometimes you have to sacrifice for the good of this
country" Brakes applied- near full stop on the highway...
Major argument ensues... Many political arguments to follow
How could we be so different?

Walking Downtown Crossing and watching/listening to a man
talking outloud to seemingly no one... "And while you spend
your money on needless materials and drive them home in
your MacSUV's to your MacMansions, blood flows into the sands..."
That ONE PERSON changed my life...

I soon stood roadside with signs decrying this Iraq facade...
I started attending weekly vigils- I flew down to Crawford to help
support Cindy- I started the medical tent at Camp Casey II,
I flew to DC to march- I did a sit-in in my congressmans office,
and was arrested for trespassing because he wouldn't answer my
questions on Iraq, I wrote more LTTE's, I flew back to DC.
I left my husband.

However because of all that:
I've found love with a good man who believes in fighting
social injustice, a new home, a new job, a new dog.
Still attending weekly vigils- flying to DC at the end
of the month- and will NOT let up ever! Because there
will always be social injustice.

Keep up the good work
Peace IN

7. Yes, I agree. Everything changed.

I am a very different person now. We started out a young military family in the eighties. It served us well and we provided a good life for our children. It is a damn shame what Bush has done to our forces. The military is not an option I want my kids to consider now. I miss the salad days!

on edit: You have a great story! My husband is no longer a republican cause of the chimp! :)

6. What is with that expression on Dubya's face
in picture #2? He looks like he's a stark, raving lunatic.

And picture #5 ... tweedle dumb and tweedle dumber. Which one is dumb and which one is dumber?

14.  No Thank You!
Hi Solly! Thank you for your families sevice! I was an Army wife but hubby has been out since '88. I had just read your thread when I got home from work. It was just how I'm feeling. Sounds like we're all getting so fed up!
Wish we could really do something. I really think the only answer is to impeach Bush. It's the only way America can redeem itself. Thanks for your post.

13. Speling cerrekshun...
Sorry, I'm a smartass. "in vain," not "in vane." I like the sentiments, and I like the choice of pictures. Thanks for this.

K&R nevertheless, hopefully there is yet time for you to edit.
