George Clooney to play Dild O'Really?????
http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/486911p-409939c.html

George Clooney may get his ultimate revenge against Bill O'Reilly if he is willing to be cast way against type. The author of "The Man Who Would Not Shut Up: The Rise of Bill O'Reilly," out today from St. Martin's Press, wants the activist actor to play the conservative Fox TV host, who's jousted with Clooney more than once, in a movie version.
TV critic Marvin Kitman spent five years researching the book, interviewing O'Reilly 29 times. He says Clooney, who directed "Good Night, and Good Luck," about the great journalist Edward R. Murrow, could do it. "That's why they call it acting," Kitman said.

This, despite Clooney telling us in the past that O'Reilly "mistakenly sees himself as Murrow."

He also compared O'Reilly to redbaiting Sen. Joe McCarthy - unfavorably....Clooney's spokesman, Stan Rosenfield, said: "I haven't been able to reach George. I just don't know if he'd want to do it. He has three movies coming up: 'Leatherheads,' which he's directing, 'White Jazz' and the Coen brothers movie."

    Must be tempting, though.

22. Well, they did a quality film about the Boston Strangler....
Your main character doesn't always have to be a hero to make it an interesting portrayal. Sometimes the assholes are the most interesting of all!

4. I love Clooney; I really wouldn't want his mug replacing O'Lielly's, even
if it's only for a movie.

There is no amount of makeup or special effects that could ugly up George C. enough to play bile o'lielly.

23. Hey PSSST!!
No it's the dad I met -- at the KCET thing, he's a charmer still and funny and cute!

I didn't talk to GC but I did work at the trib to him that was on AMC??? So I was kind of scoping him out as you can imagine, soooo nice but this is what rocks about him, the people at his table were the same guys he used to play basketball with at Studio City park back in his salad days (he was adored by us local gals way back from his Facts of Life appearances!) Anyhow those same guys were there at the Bev Hilton and sitting at the VIP table with GC which I thought was SO COOL!

Lindsay Lohan was there and stormed out early re: some damn thing...Salma Hayek was nice...Ellen Barken kind of actressy/annoying IMO...

Nah....he couldn't even really turn down the mojo on the Fred Friendly character in Good Night & Good Luck. OMG...I LOVE THAT MAN! It would be kind of horrible to see him being such a jerk...besides they need somebody splotchier and jowlier.

11. No way would yummy George Clooney be believable
physically as ugly-as-mud Billo. I don't think any amount of makeup and acting could do it....

They need to cast someone MUCH more pig-like.

12. I've always liked Clooney's work
He's a damn fine actor. I have no doubt he could deliver the lines convincingly, but it would take hours and hours and hours in a makeup chair to even begin to create that evil monster's countenance!
