It's possible Mel Gibson's home burned down in the Malibu fire
God telling him something?

Onetime Dallas star Victoria Principal, who lives near Somers, told the Los Angeles Times that she offered people food, water and parking as they fled the fire.

"It started big and hot and exploded," Principal said Monday, as she hosed down her house. "The wind was swirling. It moved so very quickly."

John Cusack was also spotted trying to save both his own home and a neighbor's by spraying the buildings with water, People magazine reported. A rep for the actor said that he was "fine" in the wake of the fire.

Other famous residents of the area include Mel Gibson, Pierce Brosnan, Pamela Anderson, Barbra Streisand and Courteney Cox and David Arquette.

Fire officials did not release the names of property owners who lost homes.

1. Only if She is telling John Cusak and Barbara Streisand something, too, apparently.
Maybe God is telling all of them they have too much money? More likely, Nature is reminding people not to play with matches.

5. Read the story more carefully...
It says that various other celebrities, including Streisand and Gibson, live in the area. It does not say that every house in that area burned down. California brush fires are notably capricious, and can take out a handful of homes in a hillside community while leaving the remainder unscathed.

11. Had your funny bone removed, didja?
My comment wasn't to be taken seriously...it was a commentary on the anti-Semitic drunken Mel, portrayed as starting the fire by flicking his lighter behind the home of the Jewish Ms. Streisand...

2. God's messages are pretty obscure
Little kids with cancer, tsunamis indiscriminately killing hundreds of thousands, the Bush family being rich, etc.

Moral of the Story: Sometimes, even the Mega-wealthiest, Mostest Popularest, the Influentialest - are not exempt from disaster.

Not that I wish it on them -

14. But I thought he "owned" Malibu?
I bet he'll blame it on the Jews.

Why is it that we live in a world where Saddam's hanging can be leaked but we never get to see the "real" Mel Gibson captured on video and audio tape when he was arrested? I want to see him try and run. I want to hear his theories about Jews and hear his voice when he asks the arresting officer if he's Jewish. And of course I want to hear "Sugar Tits". Why oh why can't someone leak this? He's just an actor/director, one man. Who cares what happens to him as a consequence?

Hey Herman, are you sad that Lily Munster died today?????

Yvonne De Carlo, Star of TV's `Munsters,' Dies in LA at 84

LOS ANGELES Jan 10, 2007 (AP)— Yvonne De Carlo, the beautiful star who played Moses' wife in "The Ten Commandments" but achieved her greatest popularity on TV's slapstick comedy "The Munsters," has died. She was 84.

De Carlo died of natural causes Monday at the Motion Picture & Television facility in suburban Los Angeles, longtime friend and television producer Kevin Burns said Wednesday.

<snip>
But for TV viewers, she will always be known as Lily Munster in the 1964-1966 horror-movie spoof "The Munsters." The series (the name allegedly derived from "fun-monsters") offered a gallery of Universal Pictures grotesques, including Dracula and Frankenstein's monster, in a cobwebbed gothic setting.
