Bush is going to win tonight, you know.
It doesn't matter whether or not he gets his surge. It doesn't matter if everybody comes out against him. It doesn't matter if Tony Blair starts referring to him as the War Chimp.

As long as he's not talking about withdrawing, not talking about dismantling permanent bases, he's winning.

If only there was some kind of Constitutional maneuver we could use to remove him from office...

1. Can't Congress revoke his war powers?
If they gave it to him, why can't they take it back?

Do they have the votes for that?
Even if all the dems and some of the repukes voted to revoke the IWR couldn't he veto that and then it would require a two thirds majority to overturn the veto, we don't have that many votes do we? I think it might be getting pretty close to that though. It would be symbolic and put the war on his doorstep where it belongs, it would be a record.

32. How Can You have a War Against Terror?

There is no defined area and no benchmarks for victory.

How could we possible know if we got all the "Bad Guys?"

I need a link that gives him the authority to say that we can be in a WAR with TERROR and that he has the power to fight ??????

He can't even find OBL and so that means that we have lost the Phony War.

36. When did Congress authorize him to go to war, ever? The IWR wasn't an authorization to go to war.
The chimp in chief doesn't care what Congress says, no matter which party is in charge. He will do what ever he wants. How many times did he state that as long as he was pResident, we would be in Iraq? The fawning media never fails to tell us that pResident pissant says what he means and means what he says. I guess in the case of his illegal war on Iraq, that is true. I can't watch the POS, not tonight, or any other night. :puke: He is a murderer!

all this talk about him leaving the office, if he was a leader in another country, he wouldn't of lasted this long, his ass would be long gone, bush will have to bring the people to his knees before we do anything, not to be rude with my comment but it's true.

3. That's ridiculous.
That's what Bush considers winning. Here in America, he simply sounds insane in public. Remember, we still have video clips of Johnson and Nixon on VietNam.

That's like saying a mental patient is "winning" because he still insists he IS Napolean regardless of what everyone else says. What sort of twisted, delusional mental gymnastics do you have to go through to get to that place where you think Bush "wins" because he's clinging to his utter and complete denial? In what world is that "winning"? That's not "winning", it's mental illness.

Fear not, the investigations are about to begin.

THAT is when the sh!t hits the fan.

The lame duck pResident will spend his remaining years in the White House attempting to withhold evidence ordered by subpoena.

I really do think Bush is about to enter the "Richard Nixon Chapter" of his pResidency. People are fed up.

FED UP! Even long time Republicans can't stand the man, and think he's gone off the deep end. All Bush has left are the Kool-Aid drinkers, and their numbers are dwindling.

Look at Richard Nixon's 1973-1974 calendar for Bush's future...

11. Bush's future doesn't matter. It's all about Iraq.
If we spend two years (or two minutes) planning for or arguing about a surge, Bush wins.

I just wish there was some legal way to remove him from office.

6. This really isn't any kind of a win. It's a desperate move to satisfy
the desires of big oil to keep the oil fields out of the hands of the Iraqis, who ever they happen to be.

8. Quite to the contrary...
Bush can't win. The pooch has been thoroughly screwed.

Unfortunately, he has diminished us all in the process.

The new strategy is to stall so someone else has to clean up the mess.

16. Bush will win tonight if he changes himself into a large snake....
...like the reptilian beings from inside the hollow core of the earth....otherwise, the country will see him for what he is, totally insane!

The Constitutional maneuver we could use to remove Bush/Cheney from office is called IMPEACHMENT and congress has more than enough grounds to impeach both of them.

19. In his own deluded mind and those of his dwindling supporters..
perhaps, but it truth he's lost it all, including his Presidency. I know he doesn't give a flying fuck about history because he figures he'll be dead, but I truly and fully believe he will long be considered the worst and most disastrous President this country has ever seen, and a failure on every and all levels.

21. Again, he's a sick and delusional person...
so to that extent I suppose you're right. It doesn't bother him in the least that everything he has, including the Presidency, he gained through lying, stealing, cheating, and/or just having "Bush" as a last name, as long as he "won". It will always be thus.
