The Congress and the White House headed for collision?
The last time he built up the troops off the coast of Kuwait, he invaded Iraq. Now, he is building up more forces in the Gulf. Is there any reason to believe he's not ready to attack someone else? Perhaps Iran?

Several Senators seemed to think that today at the hearing with Secretary of State Condi Rice? Biden warned her that he was putting down a "marker" that the president did not have the Constitutional authority to invade or attack another country without the consent of Congress. He let her know that the Iraq Resolution did not give him permission to attack whomever he wishes.

Even the talking heads got into the game. Chris Mathews pointedly asked Tony Snow, the White House spokesman whether Bush had the authority to invade Syria or Iraq? Snow responded that it had not been a topic of discussion. Nevertheless, many people are very concerned at this time.

1. Bingo
It makes no sense for Iraq, but it does make sense if he wants to attack IRAN.

2. Article 1 Section 8
says only congress has that power. Maybe all the republicans who support bush ought to read it.

3. When Biden looked at Condi
he seemed to be saying "You know that I know what is going on" and then he lit into her about not going into Iran.

5. I listened to the 'speech'
last night and while painful to sit thru, the content has me truly scared. I think bush is off his rocker and someone else is running the show. Call it what you like, but he declared war on Iran last night and anyone else who pisses him off. Hubby just sat and stared at the tv like he couldn't believe what he was hearing and asked about 6 times....did he just say we were going to attack Iran and whoever else gets in 'their' way?

yepper is all I could say.

And now tonight with the thread about the speech being 'taped' with no reporters allowed? This whole situation stinks to high heaven of corrupt bullshit.

If this Congress allows this to continue without removing him from office, something is just as wrong with them.
