The plan fails militarily.

The plan fails symbolically.

The plan fails politically.

Most importantly, perhaps, Mr. Bush, the plan fails because it still depends on your credibility.

You speak of mistakes and of the responsibility “resting” with you.

But you do not admit to making those mistakes.

And you offer us nothing to justify this clenched fist toward Iran and Syria.

In fact, when you briefed news correspondents off-the-record before the speech, they were told, once again, “if you knew what we knew … if you saw what we saw … ”

“If you knew what we knew” was how we got into this morass in Iraq in the first place.

The problem arose when it turned out that the question wasn’t whether we knew what you knew, but whether you knew what you knew.

You, sir, have become the president who cried wolf.

Few people have gone as far as Keith has. He's saying exactly what we have been saying for a long time, but it's never been on National TV!

The man is so awesome. He just gets better and better. He speaks the truth about everything I've been feeling since this monster took office.

last nite was the exception and was it ever worth it. This should be broadcast by NBC on its prime time schedule because this showed exactly, using Bush's own words, just how damned screwed up this administration has become and their complete and utter contempt for reality.

His sign off told more of his outright anger than any words could have ever explained.

There was a thread here a few days back about Ledeen getting word to the president about the Iranians captured in Iraq. The story was that Ledeen claimed that one of them had "the wiring diagram" to Iraq's insurgency, that the Iranians were supporting the Shia and Sunni insurgencies, etc. THIS IS WHERE THE "IF YOU KNEW WHAT WE KNEW" CAME FROM, AND IT'S THE SAME PLACE AS THE WHAT HE KNEW ABOUT IRAQ CAME FROM.

Google "wiring diagram Iran" and you'll see the rightwingosphere is all abuzz with the latest on why we HAVE to attack Iran.
