I am watching the rebroadcast of the hearings today and Boxer, wow!

I did not see it this morning but, it's on now and Boxer kicked condi good. wow. She nailed her hide to the wall and was very blunt and threw back Rice's words in her face and told her about the kids who are ruined from burns and injuries. Rice shows no emotion. But, wow, did boxer kick ass.

3. I liked where Feingold got after her too.

I'm watching it right now. I would have loved to see him call her on N. Korea and Iran when she said they were making so much progress with those two countries. He could have shhut her up good by just saying "And how many troops are on the ground there?"

Boxer was amazing.
As an aside, her facial impressions are really interesting. Note how soft her face becomes when she's being questioned by the sympathetic republicans.

As you know its bull. But I hope everyone knows that military admin staff are tasked to do just that for their unit. they have to estimate potential troop loss to prepare replacements, and for body bags.

Its a range of casualties expected. rummy micromanaged this war as has bush. If they , Condi and bush, don't know an estimate of troop casualties its because they won't ask. The info is available for the asking.

8. I've been watching, too. I've been distracted by the question of whether Condi wears a wig?

I know it's petty and frivolous, but I can't stop looking at her hair. I really think she's got on a wig that start about 1/2 inch above her hairline.

And yes, I have been loving listening to the senators. Not one has been wholeheartedly supportive, not even the republicans. Hagel did very well. But the democrats have been wonderful. YOu can tell that they have been forced to stifle this anger for a very long time and they are now finally in a position to be heard.

Condi's face has been really interesting. She clearly hated having to listen to Feingold (a pinched face, pinched eyed scowl), Kerry and Boxer. I look forward to many more hearings like this.

I couldn't help noticing how bad Condi looks, how old, how stressed, how scowly, how...just plain bad compared to the last time I saw her. Has anyone else noticed? Her mannerisms are still the same though. I am glad she is finally getting some challenging questions.
Edited to add that I was very proud of my senator, Barbara Boxer.

for standing up to Condi again as she has before. I hope she has some protection and watches her back. I don't trust those guys and I wouldn't put it past them to order a hit on her.

She can't continue to go in fornt of hearings like that and have Idiot in Chief keep her out in fornt like that. Negroponte is in line ans will be the New Sec of State before the Summer.
