I hate Chuck Hagel. A bigger picture also has become clear. republican control of the Congress was sabotaged by liberal republicans especially in the Senate, such as Hagel, Snowe, Collins, Chafee. These people in my view are kooks, although many can only get elected in their states by being liberals. There's a long list of really stupid things they do that are not in the nation's best interests.

The bottom line is the GOP was never as conservative as people hoped, and the conservatives alone did not have the votes.

Brings me back to my big picture pet peeve. By not really attacking the left as dangerous and embarrassing, republicans allowed the democrat party and much of the GOP to drift far left, and that placed the nation in danger when the dems got back in power.

yeah, much of the GOP has drifted to the "far left". :eyes: They GAVE Bush his war and even though he's fucked it up beyond all belief they want to give him more. These people should be lobotomized so they never have those silly thoughts running around in their heads again.

Hagel in his wisdom is pushing away that old Kool Aid and his drinking truth serum. Truth is so bad ass Liberal no wonder it hurts Freep Peeps to contemplate his stance against Boosh. Maybe Hagel should pull a Lieberman and go Independent. That would be all but Right.

On most other issues, he is 100% conservative.

but unlike Lieberman, Hagel has the facts to back him up and is just going with that. and also, Hagel isn't really kissing the ass of any Democrat as Lieberman does with Bush.

i love how they blame liberal Republicans for the losss and how they see it as evidence that they need to run candidates who are more conservative . yeah, that's why people voted for the more liberal candidate, because they wanted conservatism. what a bunch of idiots.
