Iraqi soldier killed by ‘boy bomber’\
(AFP)

12 January 2007

BAGHDAD - An Iraqi soldier and a 13-year-old child were killed when a bomb the boy was carrying exploded, the US military said Friday.

The soldier was speaking with the child in the town of Khalidiyah, in western Iraq’s restless Anbar province, when the device detonated Wednesday. snip

The attack was the second one in recent months involving a 13-year-old.

On November 26, the body of another young boy, Safa Hussein, was found in the wreckage of a car bomb that killed five civilians and one US marine.

4. The Poisoning Of A Generation...
In addition to raising Sunni and Shiite tensions to the highest they've been since the middle ages, this regime has done more to destroy this nation's image around the world and specifically in the Arab world.

Many young Iraqis have grown up in a world of embargoes, wars and now religious and sectarian strife. This country, which was one of the most "westernized" in the Arab world has now evolved into a new Somalia. Young people face a future of high unemployment, few educational or career opportunities and guns and anger all around. The pro-war goons can't seem to understand that without creating jobs for these people, they're gonna join militias...what do they have to live for?

The shame will be in another 20 or so years when we look at this time period and how far America strayed from the very core values of human rights and self determination that made the Constitution so unique.
