4. I keep telling myself there has to be some way in which this man
is not hateful. He's not a public servant. He's Georgie's body slave.

15. There is just one way!
He was Cheney's opponent for Vice President and by rights defeated him. And anyone is better than Cheney.

Apart from that, just that there'll presumably be more room for him up Bush's arse, once Blair retires.

10. He's the chairman ...
Lieb is the head of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. And as chairman, he decides what gets investigated. QED.

Me thinks the little bitch needs to be taken off the committee, but he'll do his 'party switch' threat and stay on. The fucker shouldn't have been given a chair to begin with.

anything that might put them in a bad light or threaten their cash flow cannot be allowed the light of day.

It's why the Publicans put him into the Senate in November.

9. I find it very hard to believe that there is
not one person in all of congress that cannot bring about an investigation into NOLA. This does not even make any kind of sense. Whoever the senator or rep that begins inquiries into Katrina, will have the vast amount of people in the US behind them.

14. The House Investigates, Not The Senate
Bennie Thompson is the head of the House Homeland committee...and Henry Waxman will be running hearings on the sweetheart contracts for both Iraq and Katrina.

Lieberman means little in this matter.

24. That's a huge relief.
Lieberman might be playing roadblock in the Senate, but if enough dirt can be dug up in the House, Lieberman will look like an asshole for not doing his job.

It feels soooooo good to finally have some functioning checks and balances again.

Or white people, or brown, or ANYONE affected by the most devestating storm in that area in, like, forever.

FUCK HIM!

And fuck you cowards who voted for and/or enabled him!
