Is the Democratic leadership even interested in the truth about Iraq?
Edited on Fri Jan-12-07 03:41 PM by BuyingThyme
There were some great fireworks yesterday, but did any of our Democratic big-shots dare to get anywhere near the truth? Or did every single one of them simply continue to promote a big lie?

When Bush went into Iraq, he did so without an exit plan. Being that he never had any intention of exiting, it would have been inconvenient to keep an exit plan lying around. Imagine what kind of questions Democrats would have asked about the would-be progress on that would-be exit plan.

But why is it that the Democrats, now that they finally have some power, still pretend this was just an oversight. Why is it that, when get their hearings, they still live in this crazy world where the Pentagon, who pays people to plan for every thinkable and unthinkable scenario, simply forgot to come up with an exit plan? That’s like designing a car without planning for a steering wheel.

And we know “the generals” did not ask for this latest escalation. We know the Iraqis did not ask for this latest escalation. We know the Study Group did not ask for this latest escalation. All of these people say it’s time to leave.

So, why don’t the “leaders” just fucking say it? Why doesn’t somebody just say, “Well, Madame Secretary, I frankly see no indication that you have any intention of withdrawing the troops from Iraq”?

Isn’t that the first step?

4. I present the proposition that...
everybody, but everybody, already knows the truth about Iraq.

Even the freepers.

5. There are two leaderships
The ACTUAL leadership, the ones who actually lead. And the Official Leadership, who seem to want to do anything but
