I know some of you here have been following the story about Secret Santa here in KC, a man who for many years now has handed out $100 bills in low income neighborhoods at Christmas. He disclosed his identity this year because he was dying of cancer. He died this afternoon. I just heard it on the news. His name was Larry Stewart.

At least he got to enjoy one more Christmas doing what he did. Thanks, Larry.

It was so cool to hear the stories on the news, every holiday season, of this man giving away money. How long did he do it? I can't remember.

12. 10 or 15 years at least
I have been working in that neighborhood for 20+ years and I have heard about him every year for a long time now.

15. Some news station said 26 years
and that he had given away over 1.3 million of his own money. I remember hearing about him years ago. I thought that was so cool especially when they talked to someone whose life he had changed. The man helped out so many.

KC has suffered some serious losses recently. Both were great men that touched so many lives. I forgot to mention Randy Barnes too. He touched so many lives too.
