First Lady Laura Bush to People Magazine:

“Dr. Rice, who I think would be a really good candidate, is not interested. Probably because she is single, her parents are no longer living, she’s an only child. You need a very supportive family and supportive friends to have this job.”


Where’s the outrage?

Why not post this quote on some other forums? Displays the hypocrites for what they are.

It's right there: "You need a very supportive family and supportive friends to have this job.” That's the reason, not because she's one of those evil singles.
