Blair dismissed as 'delusional' after defending his policy on Iraq

Blair: Public must not get weary of war in Iraq

Tony Blair was ridiculed as "delusional" yesterday as he tried to justify his policy of military intervention and said it must continue after he leaves Downing Street.

In a valedictory speech on defence, the Prime Minister issued a blunt message to his expected successor Gordon Brown that spending on the armed forces should increase..

And he insisted that British forces must remain "warfighters as well as peacekeepers", warning that the war on terror he launched with President George Bush could last a generation.

2. He is getting nuttier and nuttier by the day.
Most politicians here, even the more hawkish ones, don't actually state that they want wars. When they justify military spending and 'independent' nuclear weapons, they do so on the grounds of 'deterrence' and the prevention of attacks. Blair is different - he seems actually to relish the thought of our being 'warfighters'. He really should have been a 19th century imperialist. He would have enjoyed it; and also he would have been long dead by now and we wouldn't have to deal with him!

4. I wish I knew exactly who was holding the nutcracker on Bush and his poodle.
Both are fighting for their lives now. They are acting like the noose is around their neck, the trap door's beneath them and SOMEONE's got their fingers on the trapdoor lever. WHO is that someone and WHAT do they have? My guess is that it is the answer as to how and why 9-11 occurred.

OUR DELUSIONAL PRESIDENT PREFERRING YES-MEN, YES-WOMEN, YES-GENERALS
By Bill Gallagher

"If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging." -- Will Rogers, American humorist, 1879-1935.

DETROIT -- President George W. Bush is digging like a starving junkyard dog desperate to find a lost bone. He's also a one-trick dog, incapable of being taught anything new. In his twisted mind, he believes he already knows everything, especially about war and how the world works. His behavior is clearly delusional and his enablers know it.
