1. How about either "none of the above"
or "neither"? Brian Schweitzer for Prez.

25. OK, it would be categorical (or multi-valued)
True analog would imply a continuum. But I agree, not binary.

4. Registering a vote for 'none of the above'
Hilary is unelectable, the RW hates her venomously, lord knows they don't need a reason to come out a vote, and Obama, frankly doesn't have the experience to run this country, we just don't need someone with that little national experience dealing with the problems we have.

11. Yes And No
Bill Clinton was a five term governor.

It will be interesting to see how he addresses the experience issue...

An abundance of experience didn't prevent grizzled Senate veterans from supporting the Iraq War Resolution.

10. OK, so Hillary is not popular here
Edited on Wed Jan-17-07 11:07 AM by YOY
and she's not popular with the FReeps (understatement of the fricking year...)

So why is she the poster child for the Democratic presidential candidate?

Or am I completely forgetting the middle ground who magically think she is the bee's knees?

and yes, I'd be all for Barack Obama...or Gore...or Kerry...or Clark...

13. That's A Good Question
Freepers hate her because they are missing a brain stem...

I think liberals dislike her because they see her as not one...

16. It's two things for me and I am sure others might agree
1. The support for the Iraq war (up until her recent anti-surge opinion that I am seeing more as a populist stance if anything...)

2. The support of the so-called "Patriot Act"

23. "Everybody" Supported The Patriot Act..
It passed 99-1 in the Senate...

Politicians like Kerry, Biden, and Clinton made a crass calculation that war in Iraq would be simple , fast, and popular and therefore supported it...

How folks can give them a pass on that is beyond me...

21. Agree With The Latter... Disagree With The Former...
If it bleeds it leads... They know there will be lots of dirt in a McCain- HRC fight and not so much dirt in McCain-Obama fight...

The dirt in the latter fight will have to be subterranean.

I don't see HRC winning a national election...

Edited on Wed Jan-17-07 11:32 AM by DemocratSinceBirth
But I am reminded of St Teresa Of Avila's quote that "more tears are shed over answered prayers than unanswered ones."

I know the GOPUERS really want to run against HRC but just maybe they have "misunderestimated" her...

I would vote for her in the general without thinking but she is bland, robotic, and uninspiring...

26. Well, with Bill Clinton thrown in this mix,
the repukes certainly do underestimate her. I think she'll be a formidable contender and would vote for her in the General election, but not the primary. It's time for a change and an anti-war candidate would be great this time around.

I just don't see a scenario where she would be successful....

It might seem superficial but she lacks the "like factor."

31. Either
I would happily support either of the two ... both would make great a President and both would make me happy as an American to have such representation in the White House.

Go Democrats in 08!
