I have noticed a whole lot of new DU'ers over the last few weeks. We got over the 100K mark and just seem to keep on rolling. My "My DU" is about half filled up with "Welcome to DU" posts.

Welcome to DU. I hope you find it as informative and entertaining as you like it. Enjoy the free flow of ideas and opinions wise and otherwise.

Let us know how you came to find (and decide to join/post) as well

5. fun forum to vent

I enjoy the opportunity to vent. I also have a new job with not a lot of work at the moment so this is a good way to keep my mind focused. A friend of mine (lizerbits) actually introduced me to the site a while back but just recently did I actually register and very glad I did. I really need an outlet of late (even enjoying the Daily Show and Colbert Report wasn't funneling off enough steam of late).:hi:

9. I lurked here for several years

and have some friends who are long time members of DU. They've been prodding me to sign up, so in honor of the 100k mark, I decided to take the plunge.
