McCain’s Popularity “Tanking” In New Hampshire, Iowa, Nevada…
(snip) Manchester, N.H.- based American Research Group finds that McCain’s popularity among New Hampshire’s independent voters has collapsed.

“John McCain is tanking,” says ARG president Dick Bennett. “That’s the big thing . In New Hampshire a year ago he got 49 percent among independent voters. That number’s way down, to 29 percent now.”

Bennett says ARG is finding a similar trend in other states polled, including early primary battlegrounds like Iowa and Nevada. “We’re finding this everywhere,” he says. -- It appears that continued support for the Bush war remains taking its toll...

4. Since McCain went on bended knee to Jerry Falwell's Liberty College,
and now has recommended a troop surge which has been followed by Bush, his chance for the nomination has gone. When it is clear that his troop surge has failed, he will have no credibility on the Iran war issue, even among conservatives. He has shot himself in the foot and I don't see any way he can recover by the primary season.

6. Wouldn't it be sad if McCain's complete sellout of his honor failed to reward him
with the presidency he sold his honor for? I mean, this man became the biggest cheerleader for the politician who called him a traitor, questioned his mental capacity and his sacrifice in the prison camps of Viet Nam, questioned the fidelity and sanity of his wife, and insulted his children. He sold the honor that he maintained while being tortured for the eventual chance to be president, and now he may not win the thing? That must suck really bad.

Not quite as bad as having a rich, spoiled foreign nation slaughter your family by dropping bombs on the suburbs where you live and not even really having a good excuse, mind you. But it must still feel pretty bad for McCain.

12. Yep --
This guy survived torture in a Vietnamese prison camp, but he buckles and cowers before the Bushies, even when they themselves are as popular as the clap. I don't get him.

9. Anyone who thinks B*sh-kissing is a path to success is too STUPID to be President.
Political ideologies aside, being known as the guy
who blindly supports the worst, least popular pResident EVER
just isn't a smart career move.

15. McLame sponsored a NO Torture Bill which passed
overwhelmlingly then he folded when Bushloini pulled a "signing statement" on that Bill. He also voted and promoted Busholini's Military Order that allowes Torture and suspends Habeous Corpus. He is a complete Sell Out. McLame hasn't announced a Pres. run and I think that he might fold.
