6. Stephen called him a sexual predator!
Something like "I had to leave TDS. Jon Stewart is a sexual predator. Of course you wouldn't know anything about that."

9. He is the real deal. I respect the hell out of him for his stunning boldness.
And it's not crass or inappropriate. O'Reilly absolutely DESERVES to be picked on about that considering what he does and says about other people all the time.

And Bush and the media absolutely DESERVED the ass-kicking they got from Colbert last year too.

17. The audience should NOT have booed O'Reilly
A dignified silence would have been preferable.

You don't boo a guest on a show like that.

If you dislike them, you remain silent. Especially if nearly everyone is silent.

If you really MUST take a stronger stand, then you stand-up and walk out.

If I were Jon Stewart, and Bush agreed to be on my show, I would walk off my own set as soon as Bush sat down.

And then invite the audience to join me outside for milk and cookies, while we leave the cameras rolling.

Imagine the look on Bush's face.

22. I agree--he shouldn't have been booed just because he showed up
Edited on Fri Jan-19-07 09:47 AM by rocknation
I would have kept silent--at least, until Loofahlafel actually said something boo-able. Give him a chance to open his mouth--you'll have a REASON to boo him soon enough!

23. is that unprecedented or what?
i've never seen his audience boo anyone -- even some real
stooges like henry kissinger or bill kristol.

can't say i blame them, though. i wouldn't have been strong
enough to resist booing falafel boy
