Republicans, remove the log from thine eye...
Edited on Fri Jan-19-07 12:05 PM by kentuck
As the old song goes, you gotta walk that lonesome valley - you gotta walk it by yourself.

It is not up to your opposition or those that criticize your president to clean up your Party. It is up to you. But, if I may offer a bit of advice?

Your Party has lost its way. If you think you can go back to "taxcuts" and "abortion" and "family values" and regain your status, you are mistaken. It is much more severe than that. Your Party lost the trust of the American people. Your Party lied to them and betrayed them. Even after you knew the fact, you defended the lies. You thought you could deceive them. But you were wrong.

The majority of Republican voters are not stupid. They saw how much you were giving to the wealthy at the same time you were breaking our Treasury with your huge debt. They saw the lies and excuses for going to war in Iraq. They saw your unquestioned loyalty to your President over the interest of this nation. They will not be as quick to forget as you may think. Especially if you resort to the same old politics of the past with Ronald Reagan's name on it. One warning: Remember the Whigs!

1. great!
I think the Whigs had more integrity than the current GOP-and that's saying a lot, since the Whigs, who were mostly anti-slavery, nominated Zacharay Taylor, a slaveholder who promised not to do anything while in office.

3. All I have heard from repukes lately is that we need to keep the tax cuts for the wealthy and lower
the amount spent on entitlements.

Hey you repuke fucks, I pay taxes too! I don't want my money to go to Haliburton and I want you to pay as you go not borrow and give to your wealthy supporters. Also I want my taxes to help rebuild the middle class and shift the wealth back to those you have taken it from since St Ronnie was in power and stop the welfare payments to corporations. Got it?
