Hillary Clinton is just awful
Her Majesty, the red queen, who only does interviews on her time, is now running for the high office of President. Oh, Hillary, thank you ever so much for finally telling us something we knew about five years ago, thanks for the heads up, sugarflake. Now she will never go away. I agree with the right on her--she is a calculated polition who will say or do anything to get the vote. She talks liberal in front of liberals, churchy in front of church groups, right wing in front of family values crowds. She has no inner core, no ideas and no strength. She has no coherent view on the war, because she won't tell us, because she is a slick, focus group person like her husband was. Hillary, do us a favor and let a real democrat run. Kucinich, even Obama are better fits. But please, oh please, make Hillary go away. Hopefully someone can invent a good scandal. hehe.

She's a Christian, and I don't mind her talking about faith topics in front of church groups. Why? Because Methodists aren't Fundies, she isn't a Fundie, and she doesn't try to shove negative "Christian values" via her voting record.

Like any "real leftist" is even going to make it through the primary. This is RW bs.

And what the fuck makes you think the democrats need saving?

In case you didn't notice they now have majorities in congress and the senate.

I don't care much for her either, and hope very much that she gets her ass handed to her in the primaries, but her weaknesses (and strengths) will be out there for everybody to evaluate. She has the same right to run as any other candidate, so support the one you like and do the best you can to help that candidate win.

She has an Ivy league education.

She is not my first choice in the Democratic primaries but she has my vote if a majority of Democrats choose her as our nominee.

Her NY constituents have very few complaints about her representation in the Senate.

20. That's just your opinion. Just like assholes - every body has one.
I like Hillary. Does that make me less than human because I don't share your views of one of the smartest, most progressive woman to come onto the political scene in many years? Nope. Does that make her perfect? Again, no. But I will not trash talk any Democratic candidate because on her worst day she is still 100 times better than anyone the repugs could run.

The primaries will sort all of this out and I haven't decided who will get my vote from the Democratic slate but you damn well better believe if she is the Democratic presidential candidate I will happily work by ass off for her and will grin from ear to ear casting my vote.

Not sure what you think is accomplished by raising the "Hillary" issue time and again. Maybe since you have gotten it off your chest we can get back to real issues for awhile.

I think the poster brought up good points. Hillary DOES say whatever the crowd she is addressing wants to hear. I would vote for her but what I find disturbing is that anytime anyone here presents any alternate view they are accused of being a troll, freeper or whatever. That is bad...really really bad. His positions sound like he wants a real liberal. It doesn't sound like he is baiting or like he is conservative.

I can see her beating most of the prospective candidates. McCain won't get the nomination. The Republican base hates him. Mittens has flip-flopped on too many issues, Guiliani is too liberal to get the nod. Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo are one trick ponies.

61. DU and the Dem Candidates for Pres
IMHO, we should support the Dem candidate of our choice with facts and verifiable evidence. We should not run down the candidates that others here on DU support. We should be FOR a candidate, and be ready to back up our support, not AGAINST a candidate and offer unsubstantiated views.

"Now she will never go away. I agree with the right on her--she is a calculated polition who will say or do anything to get the vote. She talks liberal in front of liberals, churchy in front of church groups, right wing in front of family values crowds. She has no inner core, no ideas and no strength." These are not facts, only opinions.

While it is right of every DUer to offer opinions, we should remember that all Dem candidates are DEMOCRATS, and we should not do the dirty work of the "right" in denigrating them.

No matter which Dem is chosen as the party's candidate, I will support him/her to the fullest, so will not run down any candidate now...I might have to eat my words later.

Just sayin'.
