4. Your right we are on the same page.
Say it enough and all the bushbots, right-wingers and sheep will believe it's true and even act on it.

10. You are right, they are not doing this stuff blindly
IRC there was a story out some time ago about the WH was in the practice sending out daily items they want the MSM whores to say. I don't imagine they have stopped that practice.

5. In what respect?
Matthews clearly pushes the meme that this could be an act of 'gay terrorism'.

11. I suspect he's just trying to be "fair and balanced"
because the ATF agent is emphasizing all the Klansmen he's arrested, Tweety has to drive the conversation back to blaming "libruls."

no one watches him. their importance in the grand scheme of things is a figment of his own imagination.

boycott? that`s hard to do when no one watches to begin with

13. Saw that show and posted yesterday about Tweety doing that.
He has never been the brightest light bulb but what in the world has caused him to go over the top lately. Looks to me like he is living pretty close to the edge. Imus is not far behind. Actually at least the reporters as right wing as they are on Fox are a little more intelligent it appears.

MSNBC will eventually pay for this by allowing this kind of garbage.

Canada even lodged a protest against Imus to them for his hate rhetoric.

I'm not a Tweety apologist, but I didn't read it like you did.

18. Sorry, but I watched the video and I don't think he said that.
He mentioned that a Unitarian church had been burned down because it had accepted gay people as members. Then he theorized that a gay person COULD get angry enough to burn down a church. I hate Chris Matthews, and haven't watched his show in years, but I think we should be more specific about this.

20. Really...what would be his reason for even making that statement
...particularly in the scope of asking an interview question? It's called a LEADING question - an absolute no-no in interviewing for a journalist to begin with, and a deliberate attempt to plant a hypothetical without one shred of evidence to substantiate the statement at all. THAT is the issue, particularly when Matthews seems to be chalking up a rather embarassing history of such crap in the last few weeks.

21. That is a odd shift in logic
There are precedents from the right/fringe of such arsons. To my knowledge there are not precedents of church burnings from the left fringe let alone a "liberal gay guy". This rumination is more of the absurd gotta make a parallel for each side, even when there is no legitimate rationale to do so. His line of reasoning was from far outfield - unless I have missed some story along the way of a militant fringe gay liberal group that has been known to do violence to churches.

19. What a pile of shit from Matthews mouth. Cavanaugh, and ATF agent,
lists all the groups and people he has convicted and chased for church torching and never mentions liberals and gays as being any group he has pursued. So what does Matthews say? He puts gays and liberals in with the KKK and other haters when he was just told they have never been targeted. Why didn't Matthews just say fake TV journalists could be suspects to increase ratings for the shill organizations they work for?

22. It is really funny that the Baptists themselves are quiet
Went over to the baptistboard.com (very much like freeper, very wacko) and they have it mentioned in a tiny thread with only 3 replies with stuff like confused arsonist...etc. Even they know it was supposed to be a racial thing but the arsonists were confused. Maybe they should hand out maps to acceptable churches vs those they may be torched on their site.

23. It's true. Barney Frank was seen fleeing the scene with an empty can
of kerosene and matches, laughing maniacally.

That son-of-a-bitch!

____

What HAS gotten into Matthews lately? Sheesh.
