Impeachment fantasy

Wouldn't it be great if Bush were not only impeached and imprisoned, but as compensation for stealing both elections, Gore and Kerry each got to serve 2 terms?

Will that be enough to undue all the damage of the past five?

Supreme Court... plus 16 years of Presidency (given either to Gore/Kerry or perhaps even better, to the most dynamic Democrat available)... AND....

A strong mandate from the people for a restoration/repair of the damage done... And, favorable attitudes and assistance from the rest of the world. And, some really good economic luck... with perhaps a few major breakthroughs in alternative energy...

Then, we might... just might be able to recover to pre-2001 conditions (better in some ways, still lacking in others (for instance, the Debt))...

Alright, we might not need 50:1, so long as we had a 70:30 majority we'd probably be okay. Still and yet, even that would be a miracle. Of course, too, there's no guarantee (short of using Republican voting systems to our benefit) we could have a series of Democratic Presidents--and no way at all to rectify the situation in either the Supreme Court or the lower Federal Courts... Under the best case scenario, we're in for the better part of a century before we can even get back to where we were. Many of us won't even get to see it.

That's how the cookie crumbles (or is rotted from within).

Dems retake congress. Impeach both Bush and Cheney, making Speaker of the House Pelosi President.
