Hey people, the Rule of Law no longer applies! it's a Crime Free For All!
Edited on Mon Jan-02-06 02:46 PM by mopaul
yeeeee haaaaa, it's crime time in america! this means i can commit any damn crime i want to now, cause there ain't no such a thing as rule of law anymore! boy howdy look out cause i'm a crazy little monkey and i'm totally out of control!

remember how henry hyde and virtually every member of the rethuglican party screamed the phrase 'rule of law' like stuck pigs regarding Clinton's personal indiscretion? i do. and it's time to simply disregard the dusty old quaint rule of law and delegate it unto the dust bin of history.

i've been waiting for this day for so long! just think of it, no more rule of law, anything goes, lying, lying about war, torture, being held without lawyers or speedy trials, invading other countries even!

man, i'm just drooling over here thinking about all the cool things i can finally do now!

2. that's not true.
If you're a Democrat or a whistleblower who exposes the Litterbox administration, the rule of Law still applies. For Republicans, the phrase becomes the Criminalization of Politics, done by partisan Democrats who are bitter about the stolen elections. :sarcasm:

you're good at playing the victim game if you get caught

Just blame it on the DA and how he's obviously a Democrat out to get you and to consume your soul.

6. Finally, Rummy's democracy hits America
Sec. Rumsfeld, April, 2003:

"It's untidy. And freedom's untidy. And free people are free to make mistakes and commit crimes and do bad things."

18. What "new" wave
this is what they've been doing since Bush threw his hat into the ring for office. Remember when the recount case was before the courts and Bush went a head and starting picking his cabinet?

27. I'm thinking even bigger.....
Everyone's invited to the big "Hummer Demolition Derby" at my house!

So steal a Hummer, and let's get smashing!

Anyone who uses the Hummer to loot a liquor store on the way over
will, of course, recieve special preference.

9. The way I understand it,
according to Bill O'Reilly, is that if "the folks" don't understand it or care about it, then it doesn't matter if a law is broken at all! Unless it's a Democrat, of course, and especially if it's a Democrat and there's a blowjob involved.

28. Pretty much.
Pisses me off too. I'm astonished (although I probably shouldn't be) that there's not a national outcry about the Shrub's latest outrage. He's broken the law, violated the Constitution, is proud of it and daring anyone to do anything about it, yet there's no indication that anything will actually be done about it - OK, hearings maybe, but I'm betting that won't go anywhere. It's like the "if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound" thing - if the MSM and Congress decide to abandon the illegal spying issue, does that mean the rule of law doesn't apply and the whole thing will just go away?

How many passes is that SOB going to get?

I don't live in the States anymore, but it still breaks my heart to see what a sizable chunk of the population is prepared to put up with for a little bit of perceived "security". Nearly half the country has gone completely mad, and so docile they're prepared to accept anything if they think it's "for their own good". The America I knew when I was growing up doesn't appear to exist anymore.

26. "Busted flat in baton rouge, waiting for a train..."
And i’s feeling nearly as faded as my jeans.
Bobby thumbed a diesel down just before it rained,
It rode us all the way to new orleans.

I pulled my harpoon out of my dirty red bandanna,
I was playing soft while bobby sang the blues.
Windshield wipers slapping time, I was holding bobby’s hand in mine,
We sang every song that driver knew.

Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose,
Nothing don’t mean nothing honey if it ain’t free, now now.
And feeling good was easy, lord, when he sang the blues,
You know feeling good was good enough for me,
Good enough for me and my bobby mcgee.

29. Sorry, I was having a stream of consciousness moment
My husband was thinking about playing one of our favorite Janis Joplin CD compilations that had "Me and Bobby Magee" on it. When he held up the CD the song popped in my mind about the same time I was making my earlier response. As I thought about what Rummy said the word "lose" got replaced by "loot" in my twisted little mind.
