Again, the more things change the more they stay the same. There will be a lot of lip service to "pulling out" of Iraq-nam between now and November. But like the biggest pitfall of the coitus interruptus method of contraception, the man is lying about withdrawal. Bu$h will fuck us again this year, too.

1. LOL I used to have a t-shirt
that said

JOIN THE ARMY
TRAVEL TO EXOTIC FOREIGN LANDS
AND KILL PEOPLE

The store where I bought it had this one too:

JOIN THE RESERVES
TRAVEL TO EXOTIC FOREIGN LANDS
AND KILL PEOPLE
(BUT ONLY ON WEEKENDS)

2. My father said Vietnam was so beautiful, it took his breath away.
He loved the people there, too, spoke of them fondly. He taught them English because he picked up their language so quickly. (Very smart guy.)

But, still, the entire Vietnam experience f*cked him up. Turned his brown hair gray in one year. He didn't kid around anymore, rarely smiled, never laughed. And he became mean-spirited.

There are casualties at home that are never counted, among the families whose fathers and brothers went to war.

"Pull out....Don't sound manly to me, I say leave it in there get the job done".
He could have been talking about today.
