Pres. Bush is lying about the planned terror attack in LA...
How do I know?

Because for a person who has consistently misled the country and continuously told biased half truths and used tainted evidence to achieve his unscrupulous goals we can only take what he says from the basis of fabrication and look for the truth from there.

To believe him now is foolish and naive. I'm guessing we'll quickly see exactly where the media falls now that we know the criteria.

1. Of course he's lying,
how would anyone prove or disprove it? He has to shore up his wiretapping scandal.

2. He couldn't even name the building correctly
George Bush revealed in a speech today that a building in downtown Los Angeles was evidently the target of an Al Qaeda plot hatched in 2001. The building he named, "the Liberty Tower in Los Angeles,'' does not exist.

There is, however, a building which matches Bush's description of the ``the tallest building on the West Coast.'' It is the Library Tower, not the Liberty Tower.

7. And to me that building looks like a VERY tough target.
Unlike the WTC towers which were surrounded by buildings that were nowhere near as tall, the LA building is only slightly taller than its neighbors.

Very unlikely target, IMO.

11. Thanks for the pic, however it is a bit of a trick photo.
It does not show how it is surrounded by buildings almost as tall. CNN is running a video that shows this, clearly. As you watch the video, it appears to be a very tough target to hit. Unless you are only interested in hitting the top few stories.

10. Let's face it. Bush's closest brush with a library is probably the
fact that he married a librarian. I can't imagine that he has spent much time in one himself. Besides, liberty, library, they sound pretty much the same.

19. It would be nice if at some point in his presidency Bush could ...
make a statement that wasn't either erroneous or an out and out lie.

6. There are some inconsistencies, even if not lies.
First, this is supposed to imply that the secret wiretapping is working, or, at least, to claim credit for the Bush administration. But Bush says that the plot was foiled by "a southeast Asian nation," which arrested an al Qaeda operative. So Bush activities, legal or not, had nothing to do with it.

Second, the al Qaeda operative who was mentioned as involved in the plot, arrested in Thailand, was Hambali. But Hambali was not arrested until 2004, two years too late for that to have foiled the plot.

Somebody has got to look at the declassified reports -- very carefully!

21. Well, apparently I overreacted.
There is yet another agent -- one of the attack group -- who remains unnamed and is said to have been caught in an unnamed country. Why left unnamed? Well, more info might blow an intelligence link, I suppose.

Anyway, this is evidently old news, previously reported on two occasions. Pure puffery.

8. You are right of course, but rove knows the audience
They have to feed the ignorant base with tales of their hero. They put an incredible amount of energy into avoiding the truth all for the sake of some beer swilling yahoo in a trailor somewhere down here in Mississippi who just so happens to have a satellite dish.

only more lies from his lying secret administration...to try to justify his illegal spying --- not unlike those phony pictures of WMD in Iraq.

And does anyone believe he wasn't spying on Democrats in this country, and progressives and the Kerry Campaign?

I guess if one believes the 9-11 bullshit they threw at us, one will believe these new lies!

http://www.hermes-press.com/brainwash1.htm

"The puppet Bush regime is using new, aggressive forms of brainwashing to change the very way Americans think and feel.

This is the psychological dimension of the demonic cabal's general onslaught against American workers, just as the "war on terrorism" is the military dimension and corporate crime and tax cuts for the rich comprise the economic dimension."
