So, people, we stood up and screamed about Alito. Why can't we stand up and scream against this obvious obstruction and corruption, for gods' sake? A similar campaign might bring some of these Rs out of the woodwork who are sick of it too. Wringing our hands and tsk,tsking here will not make the Ds a party of reform. We need to move it for them.

2. I don't know why not.
Why should we be able to petition any and all legislators and call them on their corruption. Demand that they remove these corrupt men from positions of power? Put pressure on them. I bet there are plenty of disgusted Rs who would like to see them gone too.
