3. Did anyone else read this?
I apologize if I have this wrong...However, I remember reading yesterday that the pellets were shot underneath his skin.

Wouldn't you have to be shooting from very close range for those pellets to go underneath the skin?

They're very small, round pellets, correct?

(Sorry for the lack of clarity)

4. well
I heard yesterday that some of these pellets may be inside him for the rest of his life. I think even 30 yards out, however, would be close enough for these pellets to penetrate the skin and several layers of tissue.

5. I heard that too...and I don't understand that...
...why would they leave pellets inside of him?

Maybe I don't know enough about hunting or the human body, but wouldn't pellets inside a body create infection?

Why wouldn't the pellets be removed?

Do we have a doctor in the house?

6. I am not a doctor, but it only makes sense that they would not be removed
if the risk of infection was less than the risk of damaging vital organs in their removal.

7. I'm not a doctor, but people survive with bullets in them all the time.
I think with him being 78 or so years old, the process of removing the pellets is a greater threat to his survival than the pellets.

8. the story keeps changing. i keep shanging story to hunter hubby
to find out the facts with the information received

two newspapers said two different things. saw immediately sunday. 30 ft. 30 yrds. this needs to be cleared up

30 yards, sittin in bed flirting with nurse, ya. that is family morals. 78 yr old yukky old male flirting stupidly with a young nurse that is saying, eeeeewwwww, as she has to do it with a smile

30ft, pellets embedded and surgery required.

has gone from 50 pellets to a hundred. the pattern is smaller ergo closer to victim. this man is a victim.

(poor time to hospital, three hours? two hospitals, fromsmall to a larger one iwth trauma?, intensive icu for two days?)

now back to icu?

10. According to Scottie McMelonhead...
Edited on Tue Feb-14-06 10:47 AM by Dunvegan
...the latest reason that there was an 18 1/2 hour gap in reporting the story was that the Vice President had been hunting in a quail scrub which was part of larger area, known as the "Rosemary Woods".

12. Rosemary Woods was Nixon's seceratary who took the rap...
...for deleting the 18 1/2 minutes missing in the White Hous Watergate tapes.

18 1/2 minutes...18 1/2 hours...awww, never mind...should never try to write humor with a headache, I tells ya. ;)
