Am I being paranoid?
I can't access my Yahoo Account.

I've never had problems with it before.

I've had my account since 2001, it's my online identity, I go by ck4829 everywhere I go online, so this makes me feel pretty bad if I can't have my identity.

I know the password like the back of my hand, so I have no idea why it keeps telling me my password is incorrect.

I started to think that it may be linked to my political activities, but I hope that's just tinfoil.

Has a similar problem happened to anyone else?

5. I know
But this is the same Yahoo that helps China track down dissidents who have no chance of up-heaving the Regime.

That's my rationale for the paranoia.

6. Yahoo's Working For Me Right Now
The only problem I've had over the past three years is that I couldn't access my account for a few minutes a few weeks ago. However, the problem passed. I've never had my password rejected. Have you tried re-setting your password? Good luck. I'm not sure why your password would be rejected unless someone entered your account and changed the password, but you may be able to get the new password even if that is the case, unless they changed the other account info. Just a few thoughts.

7. Yahoo has been flaky off and on for about 2 weeks
I think they are doing a bunch of updates. I've had some brief problems, but it always comes back.

I'm sure it's just a technical problem, but you can never be too careful these days.

9. Yahoo implemented a new SSL secure login feature.
Typically, when Yahoo does something new, there are intermittent problems.

10. It happened to me with my yahoo and hotmail accounts.
Not to freak you out, but I figured since it happened to me both places at the same time, someone knew enough about my personal info to be able to change the passwords and access my mail accounts. Man, it was a PITA to get it changed back. I really didn't think I was going to be able to do it. Thankfully whoever did it didn't change enough about my account so that *I* couldn't eventually get them back.

Now my passwords are super complicated, so much so that I kept forgetting them for a while.
