ROFL! Now They're Trying to Tell Us Which Stories Are Most Important!
Wow! Every radio show, cable "news" show, all the talking heads are complaining that the "news" is focused on the wrong thing, i.e. Cheney. I mean the level of coordination and activity tells me that they are really hurting over this one.

Rarely have they resorted to openly telling us that the lead story is not important.

The normal propaganda isn't working so they have to shout in our ear how they want us to think.

Cheney is exactly where the scrutiny should have always been. Everyone knows he's the real president, but he's hiding behind the "vice-president" veil. Can you imagine how much more power this gives him? Up to now, he's been able to operate freely without scrutiny.

He's behind every single screw-up in this administration.

The level of activity of the media in minimizing this one makes me reach for my tin foil hat. Now I gotta wonder whether it was MIHOP or LIHOP.

4. Interesting. I haven't been keeping track of the spin but
it is amazing if, in fact, the media is telling us not to pay attention to Cheney SHOOTING someone in the face. Good God!

5. That's what so surreal about it. The shot was little "tiny" bb's and
"hunters get shot all the time". "The vp said it was an accident so why is it a story?" "What's more important is what Al Gore said in Saudi Arabia."

They are working this one hard.

6. US: "Ok, let's focus on the REAL stories...
"How about the continuing carnage in Iraq?"

MSM: "Ummm... naah, too depressing."

US: "OK, what about the illegal wiretapping?"

MSM: "Eeh... maybe tomorrow."

US: "How about the new Katrina revelations? Pretty juicy stuff there, right?"

MSM: "Mmm... not really in the mood."

US: "Well, what about the worrying developments relating to Bush's 'unitary executive' philosophy and the 'Secret Service Uniformed Division'?"

MSM: "Yeah, maybe... hey, check out what Britney's baby is wearing! STOP THE PRESSES!"

7. In a Way, They Are Correct
These scandals distract our attention from things like outrageous budgetary bills.

Not that CNN et al would cover those stories anyhow.
