What I want to know is . . . if the UN now decrees that Guantanamo
should be closed and the chain of command which allowed torture should be prosecuted, is Condi going to go on TV and denounce the US for ignoring the will of the international community?

1. No, it's just another example of the failure of the United Nations
and its total inability to engage the United States and its efforts to move the world toward freedom, justice and the American Way.

4. It's another example of the success of the US to undermine
the effectiveness of the UN.

5. Yes, it's part of the Cabal's hegemony project.
Bolton's and Condi's job is to make the UN look like an obstruction to the American Cause so that Cheney can move around it at will, and Gonzales can make memos saying how it is a quaint outdated and irrelevant organization.

2. Maybe the world should consider sanctions against the US?

3. Snowball, meet hell
I'm sure nobody will tell the inner circle what the mean old UN said about them and I'm sure that will enable the inner circle to be happy living in their little bubble, pretending that the world adores them and that every evil they're putting out into the world makes them and their rich masters just a little bit safer.

He'll have to be FORCED to close that place, and I don't see his own party rushing to do that. I don't see most Democrats rushing to do it, either, so I guess the UN is going to be ignored.
