I hope like hell Cheney stays until the end of the term
The last thing Democrats need is for him to be replaced by any white youngish male conservative with a "popularity myth" going on.

There is no way in hell the admin is going to pick Rice and piss off the racist Republican voters---

However, if they choose someone like Guiliani (spelling?) we are screwed even more in 2008. They might not even have to steal the upcoming elections -

3. He'll stay. He needs to be on hand to oversee the paper shredding.

However, a 2006 Democratic Congress = a 2007 Impeachment.

So he better work quick.

4. Think so?
You think the Southern State Republicans and those completely Conservative freeptards are going to accept a New York Italian in High Office? Even WITH the 9/11 Myth surrounding him? Ghouliani is not a popular man up here (I'm in NYC) and he has a huge hamperful of dirty laundry that's easy enough ('cause it's public record) to air, so I doubt Bush is going to go for him. Besides, Ghouliana LOVES the spotlight and Power and those are two things you never try to take from Bush.

5. Oh, these illiterate neanderthal jackasses in NC
fucking love him.

All they remember is that sweaty picture of him with the bullhorn on 9/11. I told one woman he was just a photo opper and she snapped "this conversation is OVER."

They are just so freaking weird.

13. I know what you mean
but I also like to point out he "moral" failings. That really set them off.

But then here in NC I saw saw a bumber sticker just the other day (odd timing don't you think?)

Protect America
Shoot the liberals

it was an Ford F350

We figured his gas bill was killing him.

6. Giuliani is a loser.
Nobody will vote for him for President. The Republicans hate him more than the Democrats.

8. No, because Cheney is so crazy, so evil, andso in charge.
He pretty much single handedly swung the Iraq war, killed the national energy policy, and I believe his cloak and dagger, massage the intel, government acting secretly so nobody can stop it MO is the darwinian victor in the admin.

Frankly, I'd love someone like Giuliani to get tarred with association with the Bush administration's actual operation. Future repub reps currently have it so good, because they can still praise Bush for his bullhorn moment and yet conveniently get themselves frozen out of any responsbility for the fuckups.

10. Cheney's not going anywhere
the real reason he worked his way onto the ticket as VP is because Bush will eventually be the fall guy, and then he becomes president, since there is no way in hell he could ever get elected.

14. Actually, I think it's a lose-lose situation
The GOP loses if they kick his flabby ass to the curb, but they're also screwed if they prop him up and go on as if nothing happened.

15. Cheney will stay
At least until the midpoint of this term.

The plan may be and may have been all along for Cheney to resign at the midpoint, allowing whomever replaces him to serve out the remainder of Cheney's term, plus two more full terms, if elected. How does ten years of Jeb Bush strike you?? :puke:
