when is notification of a hunting accident to the police REQUIRED?

Holding with the Sheriff right now.

I've talked to three sheriffs they have no idea, other than wanting to know which part of the County that I shot the person in. I am really not sure there is a time frame, it may very well be one of those things they kind of think you will do posthaste.

I think you should write some local newspapers and tell them that your sheriffs don't even know when a hunting accident is supposed to be reported!
