....Cheney says he can unilaterally blow anyone's cover he feels like and declassify anything he feels like.

....UN tells US to shut down Gitmo.

....Gonzales accused of shredding Emails for the WH in Plamegate.

I sent Countdown an email this morning BEGGING for some news besides "Cheney shoots 72 year old man in face" and bless their souls we got some Plame, Rove and Ambramoff news from them, but I wish that the rest of the world would spend at least half of its time covering all the news, not just the quail hunting news. Because it seems to me that WH has figured out that it can dump just about anything right now and no one will pick it up.

as far as the shutting down of Gitmo goes- the answer is NO!

Who is going to do anything about it? That's my worry.

The sad thing, is nobody cares about the really important stuff. Soon enough they'll go from covering this fiasco, to reporting on some other stupid story. Like how good the economy is doing.

We should be thankful at least this is getting discussed. It has not made Dick look too good. I'll take what I can get. Besides, by the end of the weekend, I'm sure the MSM will be pinning medals on Dick, and saying what a wonderful and caring human being he is.

The Plam story is not being forgotten by Fitz, the Arbamoff story is not being forgotten by his prosecutor, and the UN is not going anywhere either.

As to Cheney claiming to have unilateral authority to declassify anything, he's wrong, and that will come out in court too.

Let the shooting story run it's course! Have you heard all the Pubg complaining about how this is a non story and it should just go away? It's taking our Pres off message!
