Hatred of US Soars Worldwide!!!
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won’t be receiving many Valentines this year. Russia and China don’t attract the secret admirers they once did. And Afghanistan has a crush on America. In a special Valentine’s Day Web exclusive, FP takes a look at who loves whom in the world community, with the help of a 33-country poll conducted for the BBC World Service by GlobeScan and the Program on International Policy Attitudes (PIPA).

1. Flash forward to 08...

Everyone in the world who doesn't hate us today, hates us now.

Civil wars are rampant in the middle east.

Everywhere, American flags are burned in effigy, even in Lichtenstein.

What kind of person will the world be craving for to lead us out of the abyss?

Someone with a world view.

Someone with gravitas.

Someone who opposed an illegal, preemptive invasion of a sovereign nation from the start.

Someone with the intellectual girth to know almost instinctively what to do to pull us out.

Someone with strong courage of conviction that will not easily waver.

Someone untainted who has never sold their influence or their vote.

I see one person who fits this bill. General Clark.

13. "What kind of person will the world be craving for to lead us out of the
abyss?"

Clark's name was the first thing on my mind the moment I finished reading that question.

Unfortunately, things are degenerating so fast and that it might soon be too late for Clark or someone like him to turn things around. Hopefully, there won't be another war up the Chimp's sleeve before his time is over.

6. We've always been hated everywhere. Some of it understandable, some not
We've been hated as a race of people for ages. It's the old "top monkey" syndrome. Now, Bush is just giving those who hated us more reason to and those with grumbles about us the full force of dislike.

BushCo plays to our inferiority complex constantly. The psych folk in government fan the flames of this all the time for two reasons - on the US to keep the population silent and servile, and internationally to help the EU establish their own foothold.

We have to stop seeing ourselves as our government. We are no better or worse than any other group of people, no matter we or others would like to think.
