Okay, by a strange coincidence, the victim of the accident lets Cheney off the hook, and Dick is about to speak to a group of pals in Wyoming.

"Nothing to see folks. Move on."

Maybe the whole thing was a tempest in a teapot. I dunno. But It will sure be depressing if "the press" once again takes their explanations at face value.

1. No tempest in teapot. Glaring truth about unequal treatment under law
Just about ANY other person in the US would have been questioned IMMEDIATELY and probably required to give a urine or blood sample if the law enforcement officer suspected impairment due to substance. And the 'witnesses' would not have been given time to get their story straight and coached by a medial handler.

"... With liberty and justice for all" ? Not in THIS America! Liberty, liberties and no liabilities for some. Justice for damned few.

2. I said I dunno about that.....But it does symbolize a lot
My point was if the press suddenly shifts from watchdiog to lapdog -- yet again.

3. LOL you could test it by having a beer, shooting someone
and seeing how the law treats you, but I recommend you just ask around of others who have been in similar situations.

Betting on the law being all over anybody involved. I know it sure is around my area when there is a hunting mishap.

4. Welll maybe not
The cable nets cut off Cheney's speech when he started droning on about his fascination with public service.
