You can want blood for blood for what happened in NYC and
be a pacifist and be a democrat.

All in the same sentence. I do, I am.

It is ok to think so.

The problem with these guys is that they are so incomptent.

I do expect revenge for NYC, I know it is by the grace of God it wasn't LA.

Not by these guys - kind of the "keystone cops" of politics.

Too many beers, apparently.

4. This couple lost a son on 9/11....yet they are rebuilding Afghanistan
http://paktribune.com/news/index.php?id=130600

Sally Donovan Goodrich and her husband Donald helped build one school and now are working on a second one.

Goodrich resigned from the Bennington School Board Monday to pursue the work. "There is a tremendous need for schools in Afghanistan," she said

The dangers the couple face were evident Tuesday when Islamic militants beheaded an Afghan headmaster of a high school for boys and girls.

Goodrich’s work was driven by the death of her son who was killed in a hijacked plane during the Sept. 11 terrorists attacks. "You can imagine the effect of Peter’s death on us," she said. "The process of building a school has been a real spiritual journey and it was consistent with the way he lived his life."

8. Oh, God bless you.
I am so sick in my heart I ever blessed this mission of foolishness.

I Want, to this day, that son of a bitch that killed our own in NYC. I want his head on a pike. Our kids were detoured over there, to Iraq - total shit, totally

So many kids - and they were just kids - died now. I knew some of them.

Oh, boy - we better get this right here.

5. Me, too.
I want this administration hanged for treason. Blood for blood.

They knew. They chose to do nothing. They lied about it.

I care nothing for bin Ladin or his wannabes. Cockroaches.

As a New Yorker, I'm familiar with cockroaches. When they get into a house, you don't blame the cockroach. You blame the housekeeper.

12. of course it's clear. i'm originally from NYC. i worked in those
towers. i shopped in the concourse. my best friend's cousin was on the 105th floor of one tower and was killed leaving a wife and 3 little girls.

i hold the government responsible -- they were having a pissing contest between agencies. bush ignored the warnings. the airlines were negligent and i would like an apology from all of them including the government of saudi arabia and egypt whose citizens flew those planes.

14. Catmother you are right -
I can't say it enough to do justice.

But it is right.

I don't want justice - I want them out, right now.

Yep, we really are democrats now. All of us.

No apologies acceptable anymore - I will never forgive this one.

This was our kids. They can F-ck themselves from here to hell and back.

The damage they did was not just to them, but to many future generations.

I understand this and I know many of you do too.

I stop here - I am so fucking mad - I better stop here.

Best to you,

Joe

It is not you.

And you should be pissed off. A lot of us are, with good reason.

A new breeze is coming, though - just a few months.

God bless us all,

Joe

19. i'm 64 years old and i remember when this country was a
wonderful country. i grew up in queens, new york in a neighborhood where everyone knew everyone else and we looked out for each other. the streets were safe at night. you could be out walking at 11:00 p.m. at night and if you saw another person you nodded to each other. today if you saw another person you would fear for your life. i still felt safe in the 60s even though i was upset with the government being in viet nam. i don't know when things changed, but i don't feel safe anymore. i live in an upscale community with a sophisticated security system -- yet i still feel the need to keep my 38 special in my nightstand.

and now the way the country is -- we're talking about leaving. my husband is 58 -- has enough years with his company to get a pension. we're going to look into costa rica, which has no army -- peaceful friendly people and is not hated by the rest of the world.

well enough of my rant.

According to the gospels, anyhow. See Matt 18:21 or Luke 17:4. I haven't been to mass in over a decade and I knew that. :eyes:

27. Revenge and turning the other cheek are false opposites
I do not think anyone thinks turning our cheeks was called for. Raising hell in Islamic countries, however, is not proper justice.

18. Who the hell do you want "blood for blood" from?
The people who hijacked the planes are dead.

No, you really can't demand vengance and call yourself a pacifist. It's like saying you're a vegetarian who eats a little steak every now and then. If you can't choose peace when it's hardest to do so, pacifism is an ideal you haven't reached.

22. interesting what you said about it not being LA. my friend who
i mentioned -- the one whose cousin was killed was living in LA on 9/11. i'm in phoenix. my husband was in chicago on business and called me. it was 6 a.m. here. he woke me and told me what happened. i turned on the TV and saw that the pentagon had been hit. i called my friend in LA and said "michael don't go to work today, i'm afraid that they'll hit LA at 9:00 a.m." he had already heard the news and was not going to work. he comes from a very close family and because of the loss of his cousin who he was very close to he moved back to new york to be near the family.

23. if you "expect revenge for NYC", you might want to . . .
carefully consider just who you want to exact that revenge from . . . because documented evidence strongly suggests that the "official" story could not possibly have happened the way it has been portrayed by BushCo and their house organs (i.e. the corporate media) . . .

25. The desire for blood for blood
has led to Americans being easily manipulated. People who have had no connection to what happened in NYC have perished in horrendous ways. Raw emotion is never the best approach in the long run.

26. Revenge, no Prevention of another attack and
finding the responsible people and making them accountable, YES.

The Bushies _DO_ want revenge and that is the problem. If we have killed 30 to 100 thousand Iraqis by invading Iraq, we are 3 to 10 times the terrorists that hit NYC. God knows how many Afghanis we killed. Gee Du(m)b and crew are creating more terrorists when the Muslim people see us killing innocent civilians especially in Iraq that has nothing to do with NYC.

If you believe in revenge you can not be a pacifist, IMHO. Revenge doesn't make any sense either - it won't bring back the towers or the people that died that day.

With this crew, we have no diplomacy except to threaten and bribe other countries. Howard Dean said it best "a foreign policy based on petulance". America is acting like a revenge driven adolecsent and we've lost the world's respect and Gee Dub is trying his damnedest to bankrupt our country.
