Congratulations. The right-wing shill put one of my posts on her blog as an example of "hatred" being directed at Margaret Thatcher during a recent illness. She or a dim-witted source misread what I wrote: I didn't say anything rude about Margaret Thatcher in my post. Instead, I said that I believed that Lady Thatcher had a low opinion of George HW Bush's beamish boy and if she died, someone from Team Shrub would be making trips to the cemetery to see to it that the Iron Lady was still underground.

The gall of so-called "conservatives" is almost awesome. No Democratic politician in his or her right mind would DARE try to foist such a policy on US veterans. Yet right-wingers and their mouthpieces boast about increasing financial hardships on US military veterans, then turn around and accuse Democrats and "liberals" of being anti-American and hating the troops.

What is bitterly ironic is that I doubt that any right-winger who is reading this or Malkin's blog has had the curiosity or the bravery to see if Ms. Malkin has herself worn the colors, and I doubt that many of these same right-wingers would speak up if they did check up on Malkin's service record--or lack of same.

I don't really do very much poetry or poetasting, but...

Ode to the Chickenhawk Commentator

Sound the trumpets, beat the drum.
Warn of us of the wars to come
Tell all liberals of traitors’ fates
As the troops march off through
Glory’s Gate

But hush, stay silent, not a sound
If your service record’s found
Or it’s proved you didn’t serve at all
This news to some might appall
Particularly those who gave their all
While in the stillness, the sound of “Taps,”
And earth covers the heroes for the eternal nap.

Now in my case, I was a Vietnam era slacker who didn't serve. Consequently, I don't mock the service of those who did serve in the military. Chickenhawks, however, are fair game.

I thought vogon's used poetry as a form of torture, though (as in Hitchikers Guide)

Do you think that young, healthy she-chickenhawks LIKE being needled about their little inconsistencies? :evilgrin: Right-wingers like Malkin et al have glass jaws connected to important pain clusters that need to be frequently touched with vibrating tuning forks.

it feels like acceptance to them. i really do have sympathy for their ilk. when we take control, i think we should invest in better ways to identify mental illness. if we had a blood test for insanity, we could start to clean this shit up.

i am torn whether to crack on her about my copyrights. although, she did not post the pic, just a link to it. i could give her some shit, just for fun, but maybe i will just let it go. like you say, let the truth get out there.
