The Making of the American Conservative Mind: National Review and Its Times
Jeffrey Hart

Jeffrey Hart talks about his book, "The Making of the American Conservative Mind," at Dartmouth Bookstore in Hanover, New Hampshire. During his talk Mr. Hart shares his views on presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Nixon. He also criticizes President Bush for his decision to invade Iraq and the Republican party in general for moving away from conservative principles. Includes Q&A.

Jeffrey Hart, professor emeritus of English at Dartmouth College and senior editor at National Review since 1969, is the author of "Smiling Through the Cultural Catastrophe: Toward the Revival of Higher Education" and "Acts of Recovery: Essays on Culture and Politics."
