"If I have to vote for Humty Dumpty, I will never vote for another Repub "
This was a quote by a gentleman calling into C-SPAN...He said he voted for Bush twice. He was apologetic about how he really screwed up. He said they were a bunch of criminals. And he said two or three times he would never vote Republican again. I don't think he was a Democrat...he sounded legit...and angry.
of Republicans who are FED UP with their representation. They can't legitimately blame ANYTHING on the Democrats, since they are running the show, and things aren't so great lately... :yoiks:
I'm old enough to remember when the repubs actually were for smaller government and wanted the government out of people's personal business. Not anymore. The bushies have hijacked the party, as well as the government. I hope that guy remembers this in 2008. And this year for that matter.
6. Well, this is still Reagan's Republican, they just carried it to it's
desired end. It's typical Republicanism. They didn't think about what they were screaming for. Now that they got what they wanted, they realize how very fucked up it is. This IS the Reagan Republicanism...the whole dirty mess.
totally agree. This is the logical goal of Reagan Republicanism. I have no sympathy whatsoever for those "True Republicans" who now try to say they are different. They went to bed with the Neocons and got a bad case of lice and now they want their credibility back. FORGET that. They sold this country down the river. They are EQUALLY to blame.
3. The key is to vote in ways that will STOP right wingers
To do that, we have to concentrate all our votes into one candidate running against a right winger, not dissipate our votes between various left-wingers, so the right winger ends up with the most votes and gets elected.
